This amazing Masjid has 7 stunning chandeliers that beautifully match its Islamic art and architecture. Three large crystal chandeliers hang in the main prayer hall, with the biggest one in the center. Four smaller chandeliers are placed in the VIP foyer, Floral foyer, and two side foyers. Design of these chandeliers is inspired by date palm trees, symbolizing UAE’s values like generosity and authenticity. Smaller versions are 12.5 meters high, 7 meters in diameter, and have 9,500 LEDs. Even smaller chandeliers measure 4.5 meters in diameter, 6.5 meters high, and weigh 2 tons with 1,200 LEDs. Made from stainless steel with 24-carat gold plating and inlaid with Swarovski crystals, they feature 40 million colorful crystal balls, adding a unique beauty to the Masjid.

World’s largest hand-knotted carpet:

Grand Mosque’s main prayer hall has the world’s largest hand-knotted carpet, as recognized by Guinness World Records in 2007. Masjid’s impressive carpet was crafted by 1,200 artisans over two years, with 8 months spent on design and 12 months on knotting. Made in nine pieces, it was flown to Abu Dhabi and assembled on-site. Carpet covers 5,400 square meters, weighs 35 tons, and is composed of 70% New Zealand wool and 30% cotton.

Huge domes are covered in white marble with onion-shaped crowns and gold-glass mosaic crescents on top.
